The TOUGH’N’ROUGH 2026 final is around the corner: 11., 12. and 13.09. We are excited to have you in St. Gallen and to offer you a challenging and various competition. Here, you find all you need to know about the event, as athlete as well as spectators. Find the detailed schedule below.

Spectator Event „The Test“

We will have a side event for our spectators! TOUGH’N’ROUGH – The Test: The ultimate fan experience! This is your chance to step onto the floor and experience real competition energy in a fast-paced, high-intensity 45-minute experience – built for everyone who wants to move, sweat, and be part of the action. Not just stands. Not just cheering. You’re right in it. In these 45 minutes, expect 5 workouts, doable for everyone. There will a podium and a cool goodie bag.

• Mixed teams of two
• 45 minutes of action
• Sunday Morning, 13.09.2026, a slot between 8.30 and 11 AM.
• 2 Heats of 10 Teams, adds up to a total of 20 Teams.

Our venue, the Athletik Zentrum St. Gallen, is located at Parkstrasse 2, St. Gallen. There is a parking garage and street parking around the venue. And the public transport connection is great too. We do not provide parking tickets.

Food and drinks will be available on-site as well. We’ll have fresh meat and vegetarian bowls, homemade american hot dogs, waffles, protein shakes, homemade cake and fresh coffee.

The Test is your chance to step onto the floor and experience real competition energy in a fast-paced, high-intensity 45-minute experience – built for everyone who wants to move, sweat, and be part of the action. Not just stands. Not just cheering. You’re right in it. Just you, your teammate, and the thrill of true competition.

Anyone can join. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a passionate CrossFitter, The Test is your chance to feel the adrenaline, embrace the spotlight, and become part of TOUGH’N’ROUGH in more ways than just from spectator’s point of view.

And there’s more: every registration already includes full access to TOUGH’N’ROUGH on Sunday. It’s the ultimate fan experience! You jump on the biggest competition floor in Switzerland and get to feel the energy of it.

This is the biggest cooperation in the DACH-Region – just for you and to make your life as an athlete easier. With just one qualifier, you can participate in one, tow or even three competitions, depending on your division. One effort, three chances to shine with less stress! Are you ready?

How does it work?

• TnR, ATD and GTD have the same qualifier: 3 individual workouts.
• You do the qualifier just once.
• You sign-up for one, two or even three competitions.
• You upload your scores and your videos for each of the competitions via Circle21.
• 3 qualifier workouts, all released at once, all can be done individually.
• For the team-divisions, you simply add the scores from your partner, upload the total result and the two videos.
• Make sure you check the deadlines for the qualifiers and the details for the divisions! The dates and divisions are not fully aligned.
• All workouts can be done individually.
• Announcement of all three qualification workouts at the same time.

The TnR specifics

• TnR is a team competition, mixed teams of two.
• Changing partners during the qualification is possible. Both team members do the workouts. The results you put in the leaderboard have to be from the two team members.
• Possibility to change partners after the invitation to the final: If one of the team member can not make it to the final after your team has qualified and registered for the final, you can switch the partner. The new partner can be anyone. One team members must have participated in the online qualification.
• Number of spots at the final: 10 spots for Elite, 30 for RX, 40 for Intermediate, 20 for Scaled and 10 for Master 35+.
• Elite and RX will have the same qualifier and one leaderboard. The teams on rank 1 – 10 will compete as Elite teams, the teams on rank 11 – 40 will compete as RX teams at the final.
• Competition duration:
  • 11. – 13.09.2026 for Elite and RX
  • 12. – 13.09.2026 for Intermediate and Master 35+
  • 12.09.2026 for Scaled
• Cashprizes for the podium spots in Elite, RX, Intermediate and Master 35+.

Requirements

To figure out which division suits you best, we have outlined the requirements for you. If you are 35 or older on the 11th of September 2026, you can also opt for «Master 35+». The requirements for each divison are valid for the online qualifier.

Cashprice of at least CHF 10’000

With at least CHF 10’000 in cash prizes up for grabs, you can really make it count. In the Elite Division, the top will win at least CHF 2’500.

The final takes place in St. Gallen, featuring the biggest competition floor in Switzerland with more than 700m², at the Athletik Zentrum St. Gallen. Online Qualifier

• Qualification fee: CHF 49 per team
• Divisions: Elite, RX, Intermediate, Scaled, Master 35+ (both athletes are 35 years old on the 11.09.2026).
• Three qualification workouts
• All workouts can be done individually.
• Announcement of all three qualification workouts at the same time.
• Changing partners during the qualification is possible. Both team members do the workouts. The results you put in the leaderboard have to be from the two team members.
• Possibility to change partners after the invitation to the final: If one of the team member can not make it to the final after your team has qualified and registered for the final, you can switch the partner. Cooperation with other Competitions

1 Qualifier – 3 Competitions! TnR is partnering with the German Throwdown and the Austrian Throwdown, to offer you the chance to participate in one, two or three competitions with just one qualifier. You do the workouts once – and you can participate in one, two or three competitions. Just sign-up for all of them, and upload your videos in all the qualifiers.

Divisions

TnR is a team competition, mixed teams of two in five divisions: Elite, RX, Intermediate, Scaled and Master 35+. The requirements for each divison are valid for the online qualifier. No matter where you stand, there’s an opportunity for you to compete, challenge yourself, and leave it all on the competition floor.

Elite and RX will have the same qualifier and one leaderboard. According to the team’s performance, it will then be an Elite Team (rank 1 – 10) or an RX-Team (rank 11 to 40) at the final.

TnR2025 is history, the 6th edition is already over, done and dusted. This year’s edition was the most international one so far. The highest number of teams from outside Switzerland. Plus: the biggest vendor village ever, back to cress equip as our equipment partner and the fuelsisters running the food and beverage for athletes, staff and spectators.

190 athletes, around 70 members of our #Greenteamtnr💚, spectators, the coolest vendors ever and a tattoo artist were on-site. All five divisions worked out over two days, five events on Saturday, three events on Sunday, plus the final event for the top five of each division. This year, the conditioning event was a biathlon inspired double score event that took place inside on Sunday morning.

90 teams in the final in 5 divisions

10 Elite, 20 RX, 30 Intermediate, 20 Scaled and 10 Master teams were on-site and competed over two days. They were the top teams from the online qualifier – and prevailed against all the other teams in their divisions.

8 events for all teams, 9 events for the top 5

All teams performed 6 events with 8 scores. The top 5 of each divison advanced to the final and last workout. Congratulations to all the teams who were part of the final, and to those who made it to the podium and earned the total of CHF 10’000 price money, split through all the podium spots in all division. Besides the cashprice, the price bundle included:

Entrance tickets

Spectators can get their entry tickets beforehand or on-site: One-day-pass CHF 12, Weekend-pass CHF 18. ⁠Entry is free for kids/teens born in 2009 or later. All events will be on-site.

All teams will compete in six workouts. The top five from each division will then advance to the final workout on sunday afternoon.

• Reserve your machine by giving your name and contact information to Concept2.
• You will then receive a bill from Concept2 directly.

• If you are not able to pick-up your machine on Sunday night, let us know beforehand so we can arrange a different possibility to pick it up.
• There is only limited availability, so this means: first come, first served.

You don’t feel like being an athlete on the TnR Competition floor? But you still want to be part of the event and the magic? That’s great because we got something for you: Be a member or our staff! We got a great choice of jobs for you!

The final takes place on the 27th and 28th of September 2025 at the Athletik Zentrum St.Gallen and without our staff – our amazing GreenTeamTnR💚 – this event won’t be possible. So we need you! As a member of our staff, you’re an important, essential part of the whole event. We have choice of jobs which you can choose from: whatever fits you best. And you can also choose one day or the whole weekend.

Choose „Become a volunteer“ within the link, set-up your profile on Circle21 and register by choosing your favourite job.

Jobs and shifts

• Assembly, disassembly (Aufbau, Abbau): You will be assembling the competition floor and the things we need around it. This job takes place on Friday afternoon and evening and on Sunday late afternoon.
• Check-in: You will register our athletes, making sure they are all set and get the goodie bags. Also, you will register the spectators, check their tickets or collect the entrance fee. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Athlete and Area Management: You are the contact for the athletes as well as for the audience. You make sure ahtletes are on time in the warm-up area and on the competition floor. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Equipment: You will set-up the competition floor for each workout and heat. You will clean the equipment after the workouts and you will help putting everything back after the whole event. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Judge: You will assure the teams get their scores, you will make sure they move along the standards of the movements and workouts, you count and you take their time. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Scoring: You are putting the scores in the system, verifying results making sure, the leaderboard is up to date. You are keen on working on the computer all day and you are super precise. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Catering and refreshment: You are behind the bar, making sure the spectators and the atheltes are well fueled: making coffee, hot dogs and protein shakes, selling cakes and drinks. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.

We have also teams for paramedic, media and speaker. Those teams are already complete.

How it works

After your registration, you will get a confirmation E-Mail. About 3 – 4 weeks prior to the event, will get detailed information about your job. We will set-up an information page on our website where you find everything you need to know.

What you get

As a member of the GreenTeamTnR💚, you are as close to the competition floor and the magic as you can get. We are very grateful for you being part of it. You will get a staff party some weeks after the event.

During the event, you will have snacks and drinks right next to the competition floor ready for you. For your working days, you will also get a lunch. You will get a T-Shirt. Also, you will have free entry all weekend and for each working day (Sat or Sun) you get one ticket for your +1 or whoever you want to give it to.

• German Throwdown Finals: 18. – 19.10.2025, in Mainz.
• Austrian Throwdown Finals: 22. – 23.11.2025, in Wiener Neustadt.

The TnR specifics

• TnR is a team competition, mixed teams of two.
• Changing partners during the qualification is possible. Both team members do the workouts. The results you put in the leaderboard have to be from the two team members.
• Possibility to change partners after the invitation to the final: If one of the team member can not make it to the final after your team has qualified and registered for the final, you can switch the partner. The new partner can be anyone. One team members must have participated in the online qualification.
• Number of spots at the final: 10 spots for Elite, 20 for RX, 30 for Intermediate, 20 for Scaled and 10 for Master 35+.
• Elite and RX will have the same qualifier and one leaderboard. The teams on rank 1 – 10 will compete as Elite teams, the teams on rank 11 – 30 will compete as RX teams at the final.
• All divisions work out over two days.
• Cashprizes in all categories for the podium spots.

Requirements

To figure out which division suits you best, we have outlined the requirements for you. If you are 35 or older on the 27th of September 2025, you can also opt for «Master 35+». The requirements for each divison are valid for the online qualifier.

Cashprice of at least CHF 10’000

With at least CHF 10’000 in cash prizes up for grabs, you can really make it count. In the Elite Division, the top will win at least CHF 2’500.

Location

The final takes place in St. Gallen, featuring the biggest competition floor in Switzerland with more than 700m², at the Athletik Zentrum St. Gallen. A location that has everything you need as an athlete: Warm-up area, ahtlete area, enough changing rooms and showers, parking, close to public transport and hotels, modern, open and enough space for your fans. Also, your fans can look forward to stands very close to the competition floor, great fresh food, freshly brewed coffee and a vendor village.

Online Qualifier

• Qualification fee: CHF 49 per team
• Divisions: Elite, RX, Intermediate, Scaled, Masters 35+.

Cooperation with other Competitions

1 Qualifier – and maybe 3 Competitions! TnR is partnering with other competitions, to offer you the chance to participate in two or three competitions with just one qualifier. What does it mean? We are about to get the details straight and we’ll let you know as soon as possible.

You do the workouts once – and you can participate in two or three competitions. Just sign-up for all of them, and upload your videos in all the qualifiers. This 3 for 1 is for certain divisions. Stay tuned for more details about this.

Divisions

TnR is a team competition, mixed teams of two in five divisions: Elite, RX, Intermediate, Scaled and Master 35+. The requirements for each divison are valid for the online qualifier. No matter where you stand, there’s an opportunity for you to compete, challenge yourself, and leave it all on the competition floor.

Elite and RX will have the same qualifier and one leaderboard. According to the team’s performance, it will then be an Elite Team (rank 1 – 10 or 12) or an RX-Team (rank 11 or 12 – 30 or 36) at the final.

The Final
