TnR2025 is history, the 6th edition is already over, done and dusted. This year’s edition was the most international one so far. The highest number of teams from outside Switzerland. Plus: the biggest vendor village ever, back to cress equip as our equipment partner and the fuelsisters running the food and beverage for athletes, staff and spectators.

190 athletes, around 70 members of our #Greenteamtnr💚, spectators, the coolest vendors ever and a tattoo artist were on-site. All five divisions worked out over two days, five events on Saturday, three events on Sunday, plus the final event for the top five of each division. This year, the conditioning event was a biathlon inspired double score event that took place inside on Sunday morning.

90 teams in the final in 5 divisions

10 Elite, 20 RX, 30 Intermediate, 20 Scaled and 10 Master teams were on-site and competed over two days. They were the top teams from the online qualifier – and prevailed against all the other teams in their divisions.

All teams performed 6 events with 8 scores. The top 5 of each divison advanced to the final and last workout. Congratulations to all the teams who were part of the final, and to those who made it to the podium and earned the total of CHF 10’000 price money, split through all the podium spots in all division. The TOUGH’N’ROUGH 2025 final is almost around the corner: 27. and 28.09. We are pumped to have you for two days in St. Gallen and to offer you a challenging and various competition. Here, you find all you need to know about the event, as athlete as well as spectators.

Entrance tickets

Spectators can get their entry tickets beforehand or on-site: One-day-pass CHF 12, Weekend-pass CHF 18. ⁠Entry is free for kids/teens born in 2009 or later. All events will be on-site.

Workouts, Heats and Leaderboard

All teams will compete in six workouts. The top five from each division will then advance to the final workout on sunday afternoon.

The final takes place at the Athletik Zentrum St. Gallen. Our venue is located at Parkstrasse 2, St. Gallen. There is a parking garage right underneath the location and there is street parking around the venue. And the public transport connection is great too. We do not provide parking tickets.

Food and drinks will be available on-site as well. We’ll have fresh meat and vegi bowls, homemade hot dogs, waffles, protein shakes, homemade cake and fresh coffee.

You don’t feel like being an athlete on the TnR Competition floor? But you still want to be part of the event and the magic? That’s great because we got something for you: Be a member or our staff! We got a great choice of jobs for you!

The final takes place on the 27th and 28th of September 2025 at the Athletik Zentrum St.Gallen and without our staff – our amazing GreenTeamTnR💚 – this event won’t be possible. So we need you! As a member of our staff, you’re an important, essential part of the whole event. We have choice of jobs which you can choose from: whatever fits you best. And you can also choose one day or the whole weekend.

Choose „Become a volunteer“ within the link, set-up your profile on Circle21 and register by choosing your favourite job.

Jobs and shifts

• Assembly, disassembly (Aufbau, Abbau): You will be assembling the competition floor and the things we need around it. This job takes place on Friday afternoon and evening and on Sunday late afternoon.
• Check-in: You will register our athletes, making sure they are all set and get the goodie bags. Also, you will register the spectators, check their tickets or collect the entrance fee. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Athlete and Area Management: You are the contact for the athletes as well as for the audience. You make sure ahtletes are on time in the warm-up area and on the competition floor. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Equipment: You will set-up the competition floor for each workout and heat. You will clean the equipment after the workouts and you will help putting everything back after the whole event. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Judge: You will assure the teams get their scores, you will make sure they move along the standards of the movements and workouts, you count and you take their time. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Scoring: You are putting the scores in the system, verifying results making sure, the leaderboard is up to date. You are keen on working on the computer all day and you are super precise. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.
• Catering and refreshment: You are behind the bar, making sure the spectators and the atheltes are well fueled: making coffee, hot dogs and protein shakes, selling cakes and drinks. This job takes place all day on Saturday and Sunday.

We have also teams for paramedic, media and speaker. Those teams are already complete.

How it works

After your registration, you will get a confirmation E-Mail. About 3 – 4 weeks prior to the event, will get detailed information about your job. We will set-up an information page on our website where you find everything you need to know.

What you get

As a member of the GreenTeamTnR💚, you are as close to the competition floor and the magic as you can get. We are very grateful for you being part of it. You will get a staff party some weeks after the event.

During the event, you will have snacks and drinks right next to the competition floor ready for you. For your working days, you will also get a lunch. You will get a T-Shirt. Also, you will have free entry all weekend and for each working day (Sat or Sun) you get one ticket for your +1 or whoever you want to give it to.

This is the biggest cooperation in the DACH-Region – just for you and to make your life as an athlete easier. With just one qualifier, you can participate in one, tow or even three competitions, depending on your division. One effort, three chances to shine! Are you ready?

How does it work?

• TnR, ATD and GTD have the same qualifier: 3 individual workouts, programmed by TnR.
• You do the qualifier just once.
• You sign-up for one, two or even three competitions, depending on your division.
• You upload your scores and your videos for each of the competitions via Circle21.
• One qualfier, three chances to shine, less hassle, less stress.
• 3 qualifier workouts, all released at once, all can be done individually.
• For the team-divisions, you simply add the scores from your partner, upload the total result and the two videos.
• Make sure you check the deadlines for the qualifiers and the details for the divisions! The dates and divisions are not fully aligned.

No matter where you stand, there’s an opportunity for you to compete, challenge yourself, and leave it all on the competition floor.

Elite and RX will have the same qualifier and one leaderboard. According to the team’s performance, it will then be an Elite Team (rank 1 – 10 or 12) or an RX-Team (rank 11 or 12 – 30 or 36) at the final.

TnR2024 was a blast. This was our 5th edition. This year, there was no run. Happiness for some, disappointment for others. However, this years edition had a new division in store, a new main sponsor, new equipment and some pigs to throw around. THANK YOU all for making this possible.

On this year’s competition floor, there will be pigs, as well as rowers and ski-ergs. This means, you can buy this material and take it with you after the event – for a sale-price!

Pigs

The athletes will work with pigs this year. And you can get them afterwards.

• weight about 80 kg
• Price 395.00
• The pig can be dissassembled for transport (beam plus the top and the bottom).
• Plates are not included

How to get your pig:

• Reserve your pig by giving your name and contact information to info@toughandrough.ch.
• You will then receive a bill.
• Transfer the money.
• Come by on Saturday or Sunday afternoon on-site to grab your pig.
• There is only limited availability, so this means: first come, first served.

Rowers and ski-ergs

• Concept2 RowErg Standard with PM5: CHF 1’000 | 5 available
• Concept2 SkiErg with PM5 and floorstand: CHF 1’100 | 16 available

How to get your rower or ski-erg:

• Reserve your machine by giving your name and contact information to Concept2.
• You will then receive a bill from Concept2 directly.
• Transfer the money.
• Come by on Sunday afternoon on-site to grab your machine.
• If you are not able to pick-up your machine on Sunday night, let us know beforehand so we can arrange a different possibility to pick it up.
• There is only limited availability, so this means: first come, first served.
